What is our mission?

Most businesses already have the answers their customers need. They're in PDFs, Word documents, help pages and policies, just not where a visitor can easily find them at 10 p.m. Our mission is to let any business turn the knowledge it already has into instant, accurate answers, without code, complex setup or enterprise pricing.

What does InstantKnowledgeBot do?

• Builds a chatbot from your documents. PDF, DOCX, TXT, Markdown, CSV, HTML and JSON files (up to 50 MB each, 25 per upload) or pasted text.
• Learns from your website. Enter a URL and import a single page, the whole site or a sitemap (up to 10 pages per import on Free, 50 on Starter, 200 on Pro and 500 on Agency), with robots.txt respected and a weekly auto-refresh on paid plans. See how to build a chatbot from your website URL.
• Answers only from your content, in the language the visitor writes in, with replies that stream in real time.
• Captures leads when visitors show buying intent, after a set number of messages, or before the chat, and emails them to you (Pro and Agency plans).
• Embeds anywhere: a chat bubble with one script tag, an inline iframe, or a full-page share link with a QR code. It works with WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, React and plain HTML.
• Runs on your choice of AI: hosted Anthropic Claude is included in every plan, and you can connect your own Claude, ChatGPT (OpenAI), Gemini (Google) or Grok (xAI) API key on any plan.
• Shows what's missing: analytics for top questions, knowledge gaps, visitor feedback and where the bot is installed.
• Starts you off with 10 industry templates, for clinics and telehealth, dental practices, real estate, e-commerce, restaurants, SaaS help desks, law firms, education, hotels and fitness studios. See the templates.

How does it work?

1. Create a free account with your name and email, and confirm a 6-digit code.
2. Create a bot: choose a template or start blank, then import your website, upload documents or paste text.
3. Customize: we suggest a name, greeting and starter questions; you set the accent color and choose hosted AI or your own key.
4. Test the bot in the dashboard with real questions.
5. Publish: copy the embed code, iframe or share link.

What principles guide the product?

• Answers only from your documents. A business chatbot should use your content, not guess. When the answer isn't there, the bot says so and points to your fallback contact.
• Honesty. We describe what the product does and doesn't do, including on our comparison pages, which link to each vendor's own site.
• Privacy by design. Connected API keys are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and never shown again; conversation logs are deleted automatically after a retention window; we don't sell personal data. Read our privacy policy.
• Your choice of AI. Use hosted Claude, or bring your own key on any plan, with no markup and no message cap from us.
